The KENWOOD Viking VM6000 series P25 mobile radios, developed by EF Johnson Technologies, are mission-critical communication solutions designed for public safety professionals who require reliable performance, flexible system compatibility, and advanced mobile-radio capabilities. Supporting P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 trunking and conventional operation, Viking16, and FM analog operation, the VM6000 provides interoperability across a variety of public safety communication systems. The VM6000 supports VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz operation and features mixed-protocol zones, allowing different protocols to be organized within the same zone. Designed for demanding public safety applications, the VM6000 incorporates TrueVoice™ noise cancellation, built-in GPS for P25 GPS data, P25 authentication, P25 IP packet data, and advanced encryption options. The Viking Control Head provides a high-contrast color display designed for daytime and nighttime visibility, while optional dual control heads and the Viking Handheld Control Head provide additional installation and operational flexibility. The VM6000 also supports Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, text messaging, instant recording replay, voice recording, and fixed control-station operation.
